Otters in the Fingle Gorge
It's moments like this that make all the hours spent moving timber, laying hedges, repairing banks and generally getting covered in mud seem rather worthwhile. Not because any single intervention guarantees that we'll see more otters, but because these encounters remind us what a functioning river habitat can support. The fish, invertebrates, vegetation, woodland and countless other species are all connected.
