Fly Fishing Film Tour 2026

20th Anniversary Tour Comes to Chagford

Last year, we dipped our metaphorical toe in the water.

This year, we’re in full waders and have officially gone in face-first!

The Fly Fishing Film Tour (F3T) returns to the UK in 2026 for its 20th Anniversary World Tour, and it’s the biggest run yet. The organisers have just confirmed a record number of UK screenings - plus over £40,000 worth of prizes already lined up to give away to lucky ticket holders.

And right there on the national schedule?

Friday 24th April, 7pm – Chagford, Globe Inn – Hosted by TACA

For a small, volunteer-led catchment association from Devon, that’s no small thing. And yes - we’re rather proud of it…

A National Tour. A Local Pub. A Global Community.

The UK tour kicks off in March, travelling through London, Llangollen, Penrith, Hexham, Edinburgh, Stockbridge and beyond, before arriving here in Chagford on Friday 24th April at 7pm, upstairs at The Globe Inn.

It’s quite something when your local pub has a cinema room upstairs. I always knew it would come in handy one day and even better when that room becomes part of a global fly-fishing celebration.

Tickets are on sale now via the official F3T website, and every ticket purchased nationally is automatically entered into the prize draw. With over £40k worth of giveaways from the tour’s partners, this year’s tour is shaping up to be one of the most generous yet.

Why This Matters to the Teign

For me, the Fly Fishing Film Tour has always been about more than just fish. It’s about story. Adventure. Conservation. People. The slightly irrational belief that something extraordinary might happen if you stand in cold water long enough.

Being named an official supporting partner on the 20th Anniversary Tour quietly places Devon - and the Teign catchment - on a national and international platform. It connects our small river system to a global community that cares deeply about wild fish and the places they depend on.

And that matters.

Because conservation isn’t just habitat works and strategy documents. It’s inspiration. Shared experiences. And a spark that reminds us why we should bother in the first place.

Local Support. National Stage.

We’re especially proud that several of our local partners have stepped forward to contribute prizes to the national draw, helping showcase the fishing and habitat we’re lucky to have here in the South West.

A huge thank you to:

  • Lower Teign Fishing Association

  • Upper Teign Fishing Association

  • Kennick Fly Fishers

  • South West Lakes Trust

  • The Globe Inn

When local organisations collaborate, good things tend to happen.

Come and Be Part of It

If you were at last year’s screening during the Chagford Film Festival, you’ll know the atmosphere - full room, great energy, and more than a few people leaving determined to go fishing the next morning.

I suspect the well-stocked bar downstairs at The Globe may delay some of those early starts by a couple of hours… but that’s all part of it.

If you weren’t there last year, then this is your chance.

Watch the trailer. Book your ticket and put Friday 24th April, 7pm firmly in the diary.

Because this isn’t just a film night. It’s the 20th Anniversary of the Fly Fishing Film Tour… It’s Devon right there on the national schedule. And it’s a small catchment taking its place in a global conversation about rivers, fish and the people who care about them.
